Enrollment

As a public school system, we welcome all students who live within the district's boundaries and meet state age and health requirements. For specific enrollment information, please contact your child's school. If you need to find out which school your child will attend, please use the School Finder to look up the attendance boundaries for your address. 

  • Every child in Texas has the right to a free public education. A parent (or legal guardian) may enroll the child in school in the district in which he or she lives.

  • (1) Provide 2 proofs of Residency
            Utility bills in parent/guardian’s name (must be current within last 30 days)

    (2) Child’s Certified Birth Certificate

    (3) Child’s Social Security Card

    (4) Immunization Record  (Immunization Checklist) 

    (5) State or Government Issued Photo ID of Parent/Guardian

    PreK Students ONLY must also provide:

    Three (3) recent check stubs, or Proof of SNAP, TANF benefits

  • What age does a child need to be for Pre-K and Kindergarten?
    Pre-K student must be 4 on or before Sept. 1.  Kindergarten student must be 5 on or before Sept 1.


    What is residency documentation?
    Check with your chosen campus for guidance about what the district will require you to provide as proof of residency. You may be asked to provide a utility bill, lease agreement, or another item specified by the school.


    Is the Covid-19 vaccine requried to enroll in public school?
    The COVID-19 vaccine is NOT required at this time for students enrolled in public  K-12 schools.

  • Instructions for Online NEW STUDENT Enrollment (Current School Year(30 – 60 minutes)

    OPTION #1:  New Student Enrollment with NO siblings currently enrolled at HISD:   Account Request 
                             
     Parent will need phone number and email address to complete Account Request.            

     

    OPTION #2:  New enrollment for students WITH siblings currently enrolled at HISD.FAMILY ACCESS Portal New enrollment for students WITH siblings currently enrolled at HISD.
                   (If you do not remember your parent login, please ask for assistance)

     

    Documentation required for enrollment process: (one must submit the following documents for approval

    1. Provide 2 proofs of Residency Utility bills in parent/guardian’s name (must be current within last 30 days)

    5. State or government issued photo ID of parent/guardian

  • RETURNING STUDENTS, Grades K-12

    Enrollment/Registration for Students that attended Hudson during previous school year. 

    If you do NOT remember Skyward Family Login, please ask for help. 

     DO NOT create a new login.

    IMPORTANT

    Please watch for and check the box allowing internet access for your student
    on the AUP/COPPA Technology Agreement page.

  • Transfer Process

    Please read the Conditions of Transfer  

    Tuition for the 2025-2026 school year is $1,000 per family and must be paid in full no later than July 30, 2025.

    What to expect after submitting your application

    • Once a completed application and email is received with most recent report card OR transcript (HS only), attendance record, and any behavior referrals, it will be submitted to the Principal of the appropriate campus for approval or declination.  Please email requested documents to mariagonzalez@hudsonisd.org.
    • An application only without emailed documentation will not be reviewed.
    • Transfer students are approved for one school year only and must reapply online annually.
    • Upon approval to secure their spot, tuition must be paid in full, no exceptions.
    • Once application is approved and tuition has been paid in full.  Please see Hudson ISD - NEW Students to fill out the new student online enrollment.  Your student will not receive a schedule or be placed in a classroom until this has been completed.
    • Please note – The District shall not provide transportation for transfer students. The parent or the student shall be responsible for transportation to and from the District school to which the student is assigned per Board Policy. FDA (Local)
