District Policy for Reporting Deficiencies
Emergency Repairs
Services provided in emergencies extend to problems which affect life, health, safety, will cause severe damage to a building, or affect the schools ability to perform its educational mission (water main breaks, major electrical power failures, broken handrails along stairs, inability to secure the building, broken glass, fire alarms, intercom system). Campuses should call the Maintenance Department office (X226) if they have an emergency during the school day or the Maintenance Director if they have an emergency after hours.
Routine Repairs
Service is provided as soon as it can be scheduled for routine problems. These include interior door problems, shelf installation, drinking fountains, light bulbs, etc. While emergencies and urgent requests may be phoned in by campus administrators, we ask that all routine requests be submitted through Asset Essentials, our online work order system. Once a work order has been approved by the maintenance department, work orders are assigned a priority (Critical, High, Medium, Low, or Spare Time). Critical and High requests are dispatched to maintenance personnel immediately. You can track the status of your work order in Asset Essentials.
For technology repairs or support (computer, phone, projector, access control, keyless entry (badge authorization), computer related equipment) you should contact the Technology Department (X343).
